If he thinks harmless odd animals are dangerous, what does he think about people like you and me?

if it looks different then it must be dangerous, didn't you know?

Well of course. I mean, how can a small flying cat be harmless?

You might want to talk to anyone that's gotten one of the pets and make sure they don't let him near them. If someone asked to see Tempest I might not hesitate because who would harm her?

yeah, it's not a bad idea. i'm worried about him going about warning people about them too, could put them in danger. they're so innocent, i don't even know if they'd fight back

Maybe work some of the ones that enjoy it into a show or such? And those of us with them make sure they're seen and known. Show that they're friendly and harmless?

They won't fight back but we will.

What about charms to protect them? Give them as gifts to the owners? Nick, me and you could work on them and get some done for all of them.

yeah. i like all of those ideas

but the charms are a great call. we should be even more circumspect about who we give them to. i really don't want them in jon's vicinity

We need to figure out a way to check on those that already have them and their closeness to him.
If you/we're close enough to them then maybe be honest that there's a possibility of harm to them?

You've talked to whomever you've been getting them from I assume. In case they directly adopted any as well.

but yeah, we should probably do some quiet investigating. the thing is i don't want to stir things up more, i don't want to give him more reason to think he should be worried about them

I'm never going to ask. Just worrying for them and the creatures now.

I get that. Though, sadly, if they find what's different fearful, they're not going to likely stop.
I lived by a covenant for exactly that reason.

it was the original reason why witches were hiding in my world, too
of course somewhere along the line that got polluted by ambition and general arseholery, but still

some people will always fear what they don't know. it's sad. particularly with those creatures. there's nothing dark or cruel in them.
